The City of Janesville has four different parks located throughout town, each one featuring something different. From playground equipment, to a softball diamond, and even just wide open grassy area, there is something for everyone!

City Park Main:Located on the East side of the Cedar River along the West end of Barrick Road.

Hours: 5:00am-10:00pm

Features: Play Ground Equipment, Softball Dimond, Benches/Picnic Tables, 2 Shelter Houses with grill*, Horse Shoe Pits, Basketball Court, 2 Sand Volleyball Courts, Wide Open Grassy Area, Senic View of Cedar River, Boat Ramp, Pedestrian Bridge across River.

Pauls Park 

Located on the South Side of the Railroad tracks at 5th Street and Sycamore.

Hours: 5:00am-10:00pm

Features: Playground equipment, Benches/Picnic Tables, Wide Open Grassy Area, Shrub & Rock Garden.

Beeson Park

Located on the East side of the Cedar River at the end of South Main Street.

Hours: 5:00am-10:00pm

Features: Play Ground Equipment, Shelter House with Grill*, Benches/Picnic Tables, Wide Open Grassy Area, Scenic View of Cedar River.

Road Side Park:

Located on the West side of the Cedar River at Maple Street and Marquis Road

Hours: 5:00am-10:00pm

Features: Wide Open Grassy Area, Community Gardens.

 

All Parks are Dog/Pet Friendly.. Owners Required to Clean up any feces.

*Large Groups or Parties are requested to fill out a Shelter House Reservation Form to Reserve the use of shelter house.

 

Recreation

Summer Recreation Program

This program is for children from pre-school through the 5th grade. Boys and girls must reach age four (4) years old by June 1st to be eligible to participate in this summer program. A variety of activities (tee ball and miscellaneous games) will be scheduled for each of the different age groups. The intent of this program is to have FUN! And to learn the basic fundamentals of various sports and miscellaneous game activities. Activities will normally be held at the Barrick Road City Park. During inclement weather, activities may be held in the Janesville Elementary School Gymnasium or an alternative location, as posted.

Little League Program

Janesville boys who are currently in second, third, and fourth grades and Janesville girls currently in second-sixth grade are eligible to participate in the City of Janesville’s Little League Softball/Baseball Program. The intent of this program is to have FUN and to learn the fundamentals of softball and baseball as well as EXHIBITTING GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP, at all times!
