City Council
Regular Monthly Meeting: The regular meetings of the mayor and council shall be on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. If such day shall fall on a legal holiday, the meeting shall be held on the next succeeding day at the same time unless a different day or time is determined by the council. Meetings are open to the Public. Any citizen of Janesville, IA who wishes to address the council can do so during the Citizens Comments and Complaints portion of the meeting. If you would like an item placed on the agenda, you must notify the city clerk by noon the Thursday prior to the meeting.

Something I am proud to have gotten accomplished during my time on city council is the installation of an 8 inch water main across the river and up Barrick Rd. This was a great project because it is important to have more than one main across the river and it helps ensure water supply to all of the city at a needed volume."

"In July of 2008, a City Council Member resigned before their term ended. I wanted to get involved in city government so I attended the next council meeting. After a short interview I was sworn in and took a seat at the Council table.

Some highlights over the years. A new bicycle/pedestrian bridge over the Cedar River, new Barrick road water main, a beautiful Veteran’s Memorial, new and continued housing developments, 7th Street Lift Station, Golf carts/ATV use on City streets, park improvements, equipment updates and new “Welcome to Janesville” signs. Some new and some updated improvements to Janesville’s Businesses and School.
